Queerala, an LGBTQIA+ organisation based in Kerala invite applications for its third round of Diversity Scholarship. Started in 2017 as an undertaking to encourage Malayali queer students, the Diversity Scholarship could recognize one queer student each in 2017 and 2018 respectively. This annual scholarship from Queerala is to recognise the fortitude of academically gifted queer students who are often not supported by their families, face bullying or discrimination in educational institutions and struggle to finish their studies. We are also happy to announce that this year; we have decided to award, Rs 7000 each, to two deserving candidates. The deadline to apply is 5 September, 2019.
Applicants should be enrolled in a college/ university in Kerala and doing any full-time course. The Winners would be selected based on the applicants’ interest in their current field of study besides their interest in queer activism/ advocacy in some capacity. The winners shall be given the Scholarship Amount, during the Community Meeting by Queerala, on 07 Sep 2019.

മലയാളികളായ LGBTQIA+ ആളുകളുടെ ക്ഷേമത്തിനും മനുഷ്യാവകാശങ്ങൾക്കുമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വരുന്ന ക്വിയറള അതിന്റെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ ഡൈവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി സ്കോളർഷിപ്പിനായി അപേക്ഷകൾ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു. 2017 ഇൽ മലയാളികളായ ക്വിയർ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഒരു പ്രോത്സാഹനമെന്നോണം ആരംഭിച്ച ഈ ഉദ്യമം വഴി 2017-ഇലും 2018-ഇലും ഓരോ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിക്ക് വീതം സ്കോളർഷിപ്പ് നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി. പഠനമികവ് പുലർത്തുന്ന എന്നാൽ കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും പിന്തുണയില്ലാത്തവരും, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ഇടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും വിവേചനവും മറ്റും അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവരും പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരുമായ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിൾക്ക് ഒരു കൈത്താങ്ങ് എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഈ വാർഷിക സ്കോളർഷിപ്പ് സഹായകമാവും എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു . ഈ വർഷം അർഹതപ്പെട്ട രണ്ട് വിദ്യാർത്ഥിൾക്ക് 7000 രൂപ വീതം പുരസ്‌കാരം നല്കുമെന്നുള്ള സന്തോഷവും അറിയിക്കുന്നു. സ്കോളർഷിപ്പിന്‌ അപേക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള അവസാന തിയതി: 05 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 2019.
അപേക്ഷകർ നിലവിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ ഏതെങ്കിലും കലാലയത്തിൽ മുഴുവൻ സമയ കോഴ്സ് പഠിക്കുന്നവരായിരിക്കണം. പഠനമേഖലയിലെ അഭിരുചിയും ക്വിയർ-വിഷയത്തിലുള്ള സാമൂഹിക ഇടപെടൽ എന്നിവയും പരിഗണിച്ചായിരിക്കും വിജയികളായ രണ്ട് പേരെ നിർണ്ണയിക്കുക. വിജയികൾക്കുള്ള സ്കോളർഷിപ്പ് തുക സെപ്റ്റംബർ 07-ന് നടക്കുന്ന ക്വിയറളയുടെ കമ്മ്യുണിറ്റി മീറ്റിങ്ങിൽ വെച്ച് വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരിക്കും.
